youtube.com/watch?v=jFdqcPSGvKI&t=2s About the unit The IMC unit at Trenton is a 24-bed unit. We are classified as a Critical Care-Telemetry unit. The unit has a focus on cardiac patients. Common illnesses that are treated on our unit include NSTEMI, post cardiac catheterization, COPD, Pneumonia, and CHF. We do see a wide variety of other illnesses as well. IMC continues to be a unit with a lot of longevity, and great staff retention rates. We have monthly Unit Council meetings, which are an opportunity for shared governance. Our typical RN to patient ratio is 3-4:1 and our NA to patient ratio is a maximum of 12:1. About Trenton Hospital This Magnet

It is home to nine university affiliated residency programs. Here, you will find a Level II trauma center that is a nationally recognized heart, vascular and pulmonary specialties along with other specialties like orthopedics, neurosurgery, and women's health. Scope of work Assists licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care and helps in the environmental maintenance of the nursing unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse and within the scope of defined practice. Provides for personal care and safety needs of patients promptly under the supervision of licensed nursing staff including specific procedures and patient testing addressed in the patient plan of care. Maintains an orderly unit environment with sufficient supplies and equipment in order to facilitate staff performance of patient care. Contributes to effective communication as it related to the provision of patient care and the efficient operation needs of the unit. Facilitates the admission, discharge and transfer of patients on and off unit in accordance with established policies and procedures. Range of Pay Range of pay between $17.74 and $21.72, based on experience. Qualifications High School Graduate or Equivalent, Required American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Required by completion of orientation.
