Job Overview:

We're looking for an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a Long Term Care setting. The CNA will assist residents with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, mobility, and transfers while promoting comfort, dignity, and safety. Candidates with experience driving or working in winter weather conditions are preferred due to the upcoming winter season in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Reliable transportation is required, as public transportation is not available.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with daily activities of living, including bathing, showers, shaving, oral care, hair care, and nail care. Assist residents with ambulation, transfers, and mobility using appropriate assistive devices and safe body mechanics. Provide compassionate and respectful care while maintaining resident dignity and privacy. Monitor residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff. Follow individualized care plans and facility procedures. Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents. Support residents with their daily comfort and personal care needs. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members to ensure quality resident care.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of current or recent CNA experience. Previous travel CNA experience required. Active Michigan CNA license required at the time of submission. Active BLS certification required; AHA accepted and ARC preferred. Must be able to obtain Michigan fingerprints as required. Reliable personal vehicle or rental vehicle required.
