Full-Time Resident Caregiver (RCG/CNA) Harding Place Assisted Living |

Resident Caregiver (RCG/CNA)
Status:
Full-Time Schedule:
2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, including every other weekend Position Summary Harding Place Assisted Living, a Horizon Health community, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Caregiver (RCG/CNA) to join our team. This position provides direct resident care and support services while promoting dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life for our residents. The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults and is committed to delivering person-centered care in a home-like environment. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResident Care Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, ambulation, and eating. Provide individualized care according to resident service plans. Observe, report, and document changes in resident condition. Respond promptly to resident call systems and requests. Encourage resident independence while ensuring safety and well-being. Medication Administration Administer medications and treatments as delegated and trained. Maintain accurate medication documentation. Observe residents for medication side effects and report concerns promptly. Documentation Complete accurate and timely charting. Document cares, services provided, incidents, and observations. Report concerns and unusual findings to nursing and management staff. Household Support Assist with light housekeeping and laundry as assigned. Support meal service and dining room activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment. Resident Engagement Encourage participation in activities and social events. Build positive relationships with residents and families. Promote a welcoming and respectful atmosphere. Safety & Compliance Follow all Horizon Health and Harding Place policies and procedures. Maintain resident confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Adhere to infection control and safety standards. Participate in required trainings, drills, and staff meetings. Qualifications Ability to pass Minnesota background studies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, reliable, and resident-focused attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Ability to assist residents with transfers and mobility. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation. Ability to respond quickly during emergencies.
