Part time This position would start off as part-time with the potential to move into a full-time role We have shifts available in Rochester, Zumbrota, Lake City, Owatonna, Austin, Winona and many more surrounding towns! This would start as a part-time position with the opportunity to turn into full-time, if desired. Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a positive atmosphere for patients and their families while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality care in fast-paced medical settings. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR systems) such as Epic or Cerner Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and aseptic techniques during patient interactions Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver comprehensive patient service in medical-surgical units, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute care settings Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and practicing proper hand hygiene and aseptic techniques Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; experience in geriatrics or behavioral health is a plus Familiarity with advanced patient care techniques including ICU procedures, trauma response, or pediatric care (PICU/Pediatrics) is advantageous Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients!
