Director of Nursing / Clinical Administrator Position Summary Serenity Place Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical oversight, resident-centered care, and support to nursing staff. The RN is responsible for ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and individualized care while maintaining compliance with state regulations and community policies. Key Responsibilities Provide and oversee nursing care in accordance with resident service plans Complete resident assessments, re-assessments, and clinical documentation Monitor resident health status and respond to changes in condition Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers Administer medications and treatments as ordered Delegate tasks appropriately to LPNs, TMAs, and caregivers Supervise and support direct care staff Maintain accurate and timely charting and records Participate in care conferences and service plan updates Ensure compliance with Minnesota assisted living regulations Educate residents, families, and staff as needed Respond to clinical emergencies Clinical Duties Medication management and oversight Wound care and treatment monitoring Infection control practices Vital signs and clinical monitoring Incident review and follow-up Admission and discharge support Qualifications Active Minnesota RN license in good standing Graduate of an accredited nursing program Assisted living, long-term care, or geriatric experience preferred Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and documentation skills Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Understanding of aging-related health conditions Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities Professional, calm, and resident-focused demeanor Leadership and delegation skills Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred Work Environment Assisted living community setting Interaction with elderly residents Occasional lifting, bending, and physical assistance Exposure to medical conditions and emergencies Serenity Place Assisted Living Commitment Serenity Place is dedicated to providing high-quality, resident-centered care in a supportive and respectful environment.
