Fairview is looking for a Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Woodwind's Hospital in Woodbury, MN. This position is 0.75 FTE (60 hours per two weeks), working 12 hour shifts on the Night shift with an every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) rotation and a holiday rotation. Woodwinds Health Campus opened its 86-bed hospital in August 2000. Located on 30 acres of pristine wetlands in Woodbury, MN, it's the only hospital in the southeast metro area. Woodwinds provides convenient, comprehensive and quality health care for the community. You'll find the services you need all in one location. We're known for attention to detail — and attention to patients — and the calming ambiance is enhanced by the surrounding woods and wetlands. About this position- Med Surg/Ortho 3 South 26 private rooms Patient population: total hips, total knees, spine surgeries, shoulder surgeries, general Med/Surg, and general ortho Ages 18+ Patient average length of stay is 1-3 days The Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nurse/caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and the reordering and stocking of supplies.
Required Qualifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association-Healthcare Provider. Ontrack participants much be able to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program. AND one of the four following qualifications: (1) Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting. (Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician) OR (2) Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program OR (3) Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position OR (4) Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program.Qualifications:
