Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of healthcare settings. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support patient care in diverse environments such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or home care settings. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during procedures like catheter care or wound management. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of care plans and patient needs. Assist with medical procedures including medication administration under supervision and basic life support (BLS) when required. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical records and documentation accurately. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations. Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing procedures such as phlebotomy or catheter care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for efficient medical documentation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Strong caregiver communication skills combined with compassion and patience to support diverse patient populations including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Basic life support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as ICU experience or hospice care are a plus. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as emergency medicine units or Level I Trauma Centers while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety standards. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
