Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote comfort and dignity Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates; report changes promptly to nursing staff Support clinical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, phlebotomy (blood draws), and medication administration under supervision Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Use safe manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts for patient transfers to prevent injury for both patients and caregivers Observe and document patient responses to treatments or interventions; communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including nurses and physicians Provide emotional support and compassionate communication to patients experiencing cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia Qualifications Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent licensure required Prior experience working with geriatric populations in long-term care facilities or nursing homes preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, aseptic technique, and basic life support (CPR) certification required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in medical documentation is highly desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper lifting practices; physical stamina for long shifts on your feet required Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear caregiving instructions and compassionate patient interaction Join us in delivering exceptional care that transforms lives!
