Immediately Job Description The Neosho School District is searching for a CNA for the 2026/2027 school year. Qualified applicants should hold their CNA certification. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides first aid and emergency care to students following the regulations and procedures established by the Neosho School District, Newton County Health Department, Missouri State Department of Education and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. Carries out delegated nursing tasks for student Implements federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and procedures related to school health services Carries out health services procedures established by the Neosho School District Observes for student health, psychosocial and other needs and refers students appropriately Maintains accurate, confidential, and appropriate records following established guidelines Contributes to the development of health care plans and the implementation of plan Communicates medical information in a timely manner to appropriate school personnel, parents/guardians, and the Neosho school nurse while maintaining confidentiality Maintains emergency procedure information for student Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Duties None Qualifications Education/Experience/Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Current unrestricted Missouri License; Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); One year of health care experience, and computer experience. Skills and Abilities An individual who holds this position must have the ability to: Skill in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and basic first aid Ability to work cooperatively with others Ability to work independently within the guidelines of policy and procedure using discretion and good judgment Ability to accept supervisory direction Ability to stay calm under adverse circumstances and to calm others under stress Ability to relate to children, parents and educational personnel Ability to establish and maintain effective communication, both orally and in writing, with school administrators, central office personnel, faculty, staff, parents and students Ability to communicate competently with tact and listen effectively Ability to provide a supportive atmosphere for students and staff while ensuring appropriate health room use Computation Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages Reasoning An individual who holds this position must have the ability to: Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Solve problems when such problems have a variety of concrete variables Technology An individual who holds this position must: Have strong computer skills including word processing, and working with spreadsheets and databases. Be able to understand and submit online reports Have the ability to learn new systems and software Additional Skills and Abilities An individual who holds this position must have: Strong interpersonal skills The ability to work closely with a variety of staff members and the public The ability to safeguard confidential information Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position an employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use fingers and controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach and bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Attendance Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
