We are currently looking for a Restorative Care Aide at or skilled Nursing Facility, Mary, Queen & Mother Center. Duties & Responsibilities The RCA must possess and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of safe, restorative care practices. Understands and agrees with Cardinal Ritter Senior Service's philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident's quality of life. Performs Active Range of Motion (AROM) and passive Range of Motion (PROM) in safe manner to residents as assigned. Ambulates residents as assigned while utilizing appropriate equipment or devices in a safe manner. Assists residents to apply and remove splints or prosthesis as assigned. Encourages the residents to perform tasks for him/herself as appropriate and as assigned. Provides good body alignment, positioning device and contracture padding as appropriate and assigned. Reports to the Charge nurses and ADON any adverse conditions experienced by the resident during the provision of restorative nursing care including, but not limited to, pain. Monitors and assist with Activities of daily living (ADLS) to promote resident involvement to the highest extent possible without resident decline unless the decline is documented as unavoidable. Document the residents' progress and communicate the results to the Charge nurse and the ADON. Practices good body mechanics while delivering restorative nursing care to prevent injuries to self or to others. Cooperates with licensed rehabilitative therapists when providing restorative nursing care. Be familiar with the emergency procedures of the facility, including fire and evacuation, tornado/storm, and search for missing resident. Know where the disaster manual is located for reference. Follows the nursing policies and procedures and the philosophy of care of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services. Attends in-services and staff meetings as scheduled in order to obtain 12 mandatory education hours annually as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge & Experience Requirements Must have completed the State of Missouri Certified Nurse Assistant training program and be in good standing in the State of Missouri. Must have completed additional training in restorative care procedures. CRSS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
