Job Description
Friendship Village seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support older adults in our faith-based senior living community. The CNA provides hands-on assistance with daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals, while closely following care plans. This role monitors and reports changes in residents' conditions, supports restorative and memory care, and maintains accurate documentation. CNAs collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to promote dignity, safety, and wellness in a resident-centered, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility) Measure and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff Support residents with safe transfers, positioning, and fall prevention Assist with restorative and memory care programs as directed by care plans Maintain accurate, timely documentation in charts or electronic health records Promote residents' dignity, privacy, and comfort in all interactions Assist with meal setup, feeding, and hydration monitoring Maintain clean, safe resident rooms and common areas Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to follow care plans Communicate compassionately with residents and families, supporting a faith-inspired, resident-centered culture Required Skills Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) Measuring and recording vital signs Safe patient transfer and mobility techniques Infection prevention and control Basic restorative and mobility support Memory care support techniques Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Basic medical terminology Observation and reporting of changes in condition Time management in a clinical setting
