Days & nights available Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting patients' physical and emotional well-being, demonstrating proficiency in clinical skills, patient communication, and adherence to safety protocols. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare teams by delivering high-quality, respectful care that promotes comfort, dignity, and recovery. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using proper manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, following strict protocols to maintain patient safety and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavioral health strategies. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and aseptic techniques to support clinical staff in acute and chronic care environments. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control standards and safe lifting practices while using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery across settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, or home care environments. Skills Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatric patients, pediatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or behavioral health care. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and basic life support (BLS) certification. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and practice manual handling techniques aligned with healthcare standards. Familiarity with specialized care areas such as ICU experience, emergency medicine procedures, trauma centers (Level I & II), or post-acute care settings. Effective caregiver communication skills to provide compassionate support while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments like urgent care clinics or outpatient settings while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
