Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. This full-time and part-time position offers 12-hour shifts, allowing flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient lives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and experience working with geriatric individuals. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care while ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for all patients. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medical staff by preparing patients for examinations or procedures using aseptic techniques and maintaining sterile environments. Assist with patient transfers utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility. Provide compassionate dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and behavioral health support tailored to individual needs. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while documenting medical records and care activities thoroughly. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in a long-term care facility setting. Participate in infection control practices and adhere to safety protocols during all caregiving activities. Requirements Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the applicable state or region. Prior experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home care environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PCC Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices; experience with manual handling equipment is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide empathetic patient service. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus. Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic technique, catheter care, and dementia or Alzheimer's care is desirable.
