Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) full-time to provide exceptional patient care across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient support, medical documentation, and safety protocols, with experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with disabilities. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in ensuring comfort, dignity, and well-being for our patients while adhering to all regulatory standards and maintaining confidentiality. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates. Support medical staff by preparing patients for examinations or procedures and assisting with basic medical tasks such as catheter care or phlebotomy. Maintain thorough and accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems while complying with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Implement infection control practices using aseptic techniques and safe handling procedures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Operate patient transfer methods safely, including Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques, to prevent injury to patients and staff. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide compassionate care and ensure patient needs are met comprehensively. Follow established protocols for emergency situations such as CPR or urgent care scenarios while maintaining composure and professionalism. Experience Prior experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, or assisted living environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with systems for accurate documentation. Experience providing specialized care including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice support, or memory care is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required. Hands-on experience with medical-surgical procedures, medication administration, or post-acute care practices is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices ensures optimal patient handling.
