Job Description

Are you passionate about providing compassionate care and supporting patients during their recovery and healing? Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center (NWMRMC) is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides essential support to nurses and physicians by assisting patients with daily care activities and monitoring patient conditions. This role plays a critical part in promoting patient comfort, safety, and dignity while supporting high-quality healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations Assist patients with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients safely Observe patient conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic health record Support infection prevention and patient safety practices Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families Assist with patient transport within the facility Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification through the Mississippi Nurse Aide Registry. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience:
Previous healthcare or patient care experience preferred. Experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred.
