Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patient environment to ensure safe and calm atmosphere
  • Assist patients on doctor appointments, community outings, and facility activities daily
  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse/ licensed practical nurse
  • Assist with patient transfers and repositioning to ensure comfort
  • Perform basic medical procedure in the event of an emergency
  • Assist in the delivery of meals
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
  • Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA)/ PCA
  • Experience in a hospital, medical office and personal care home setting preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects or patients with proper body mechanics
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

$13.00
