Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting the healthcare team. - Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Perform basic patient assessments and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff
- Assist with mobility and transferring of patients
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks)
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and infection control protocols
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of patient care techniques and procedures
- Experience with patient assessment and monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks)
- Understanding of physiology and medical terminology
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathetic nature towards patients
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
