Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MALE Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for patient service and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper lifting techniques
- Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems (eClinicalWorks, Epic)
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and practice aseptic techniques
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times, such as hospice care or pediatric intensive care (PICU)
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
Skills:
- Strong patient service skills, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and respect
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, home care settings, or hospitals
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as eClinicalWorks and Epic
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques for infection control
- Experience working with children in a healthcare setting
