Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Beartooth Rehab & Nursing - Columbus, MT Full-time | Part-time | All Shifts Available Position Purpose The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality, resident-centered care in accordance with individualized care plans and all federal, state, and local regulations. CNAs play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily needs, maintaining dignity, comfort, safety, and quality of life. CNAs work under the supervision of licensed nurses and help foster an atmosphere of warmth, compassion, and respect. Job Requirements Must have an active, unencumbered CNA certification in the state of Montana (or be eligible to obtain certification). Previous CNA or caregiving experience preferred; long-term care experience highly desired. Must meet all new-hire requirements, including passing a background check and maintaining required certifications (Food Handler's permit, CPR/BLS, etc.). Completion of new hire orientation and participation in ongoing trainings and in-services required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well with residents, families, and team members. Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Must be comfortable using basic technology and electronic charting systems. Must follow all laws, regulations, and company policies, including dress code, attendance, conduct, and safety guidelines. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including lifting over 30 lbs., or be able to be reasonably accommodated. Ability to remain compassionate and professional when working with geriatric, dementia, mentally ill, or disabled populations. Principal Accountabilities Provide high-quality direct care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises. Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed, following dietary guidelines. Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the charge nurse. Document all care provided in accordance with facility policies and electronic charting requirements. Maintain resident privacy, dignity, rights, and preferences at all times. Participate in shift-to-shift reporting to ensure continuity of care. Take and record vital signs, weights, and other routine measurements as directed. Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges. Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and common areas. Support facility staff and departments with teamwork, cooperation, and communication.
