Job Description
Job Summary This position is for an adult daycare setting. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, assist with daily living activities, and support clinical staff in delivering high-quality medical services. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure our patients receive the respectful, personalized care they deserve. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using appropriate patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards. Support clinical procedures by preparing patients for treatments, assisting during medication administration under supervision, and maintaining aseptic techniques. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring a safe and supportive environment through memory care practices. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or hospice to deliver comprehensive patient service. Use manual handling techniques safely during patient transfers and perform basic life support (BLS) when necessary to ensure patient safety at all times. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state requirements. Prior experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and safe manual handling practices while maintaining patient safety standards. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members in fast-paced environments like trauma centers or urgent care clinics.
