  • 2 years of experience required.
BLS & MT CNA
License required.
Must be competent to perform:
ADL's, Feeding, Skin Care, Bathing, & Lifting. Floating is required.
Level of Care:
MedSurg, ICU, ER, PEDS, & Behavioral Health. Prior travel experience required.

Epic. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team in Helena, Montana. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home health environments. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by supporting their daily needs and ensuring their comfort and safety. Candidates with experience in diverse clinical areas and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality. Perform basic medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, and specimen collection (phlebotomy) as trained. Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems), ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address patient needs. Practice infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Assist in patient transfers using safe lifting practices and appropriate transfer methods. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques. Support emergency response efforts by performing CPR and other life-saving procedures when necessary. Contribute to a safe environment by adhering to hospital policies on safety procedures and patient handling. Experience Prior experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care standards. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. Familiarity with critical care environments including ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is advantageous. Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatric patients, geriatric individuals, and those with disabilities or behavioral health needs. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as CPR or specialized dementia/caregiving training are a plus. Strong communication skills combined with compassionate caregiving approach to foster trust and positive patient interactions.
