Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality patient care across diverse settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home health environments. Your expertise in patient assistance, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation will ensure a safe, comfortable, and respectful experience for every individual you serve. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Support clinical procedures including catheter care, wound care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Document patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, providing critical support during emergency situations or complex medical procedures. Assist with medication administration under supervision and support patient service activities across inpatient, outpatient, or home care environments. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively while adhering to infection prevention protocols in sterile environments such as operating rooms or pediatric units. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of employment. Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia care including Alzheimer's and memory care units, or behavioral health settings. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with medical documentation and medical terminology is essential. Experience in various healthcare environments including hospitals (Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice or palliative care settings. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately monitor vital signs and assist with complex patient needs Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
