Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist patients across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately and report any abnormalities promptly. Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety during movement. Maintain detailed medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments by implementing tailored memory care strategies. Assist with medication reminders. Follow aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or wound dressing changes to prevent infection and promote healing. Support patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring hospice or palliative care by delivering compassionate and respectful assistance. Use EMR/EHR systems proficiently for accurate documentation of patient care activities and medical records management. Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients in nursing homes or long-term care facilities. Familiar with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation. Skilled in safe manual handling practices and heavy lifting techniques using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Strong caregiving communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with patients of all ages—including pediatrics and those with disabilities. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Experience providing specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care within memory or assisted living communities is preferred. Competence in infection control practices including aseptic technique during procedures involving infectious disease management.
