2989949796-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Cone Health is seeking a CNA & Observer Float to deliver compassionate, hands-on care across multiple hospital units. In this role, you will support patient safety through continuous observation of high-risk patients, assist with activities of daily living, take vital signs, and promptly report changes in condition. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a culture focused on quality, inclusivity, and professional growth. As a float, you'll gain diverse clinical experience while adapting to varied patient populations and workflows in a fast-paced, community-centered health system. Responsibilities Provide basic bedside care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient positioning Closely observe patients at risk for falls, confusion, or self-harm and promptly report changes Measure and document vital signs and intake/output per protocols Support nurses and providers with patient care tasks and equipment setup Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable patient environments Accurately document observations and care in the medical record Float between units based on staffing needs while adapting to varied patient populations Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members Follow infection prevention, safety, and privacy policies at all times Required Skills Patient observation and safety monitoring Vital signs measurement and documentation Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) Safe patient handling, transfers, and mobility support Infection prevention and control practices Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Basic medical terminology Effective communication with patients and care teams De-escalation and behavior management for at-risk patients Time management in fast-paced clinical settings
