Must be able to complete New Hire process virtually (or travel to our office in Matthews, NC to fill out paperwork in-person) Job Description Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Nurse's Aides to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse's Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to safety and health regulations. Duties Support patients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate techniques to prevent injury. Engage with patients needing Memory Care, providing emotional support and companionship. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills in patient care. Experience Previous experience as a CNA is required. Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with dementia or chronic illnesses, is highly valued. Part-time Work Location:
In person Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Administer medications as prescribed under supervision, maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards. Communicate effectively with patients and families in both English and Spanish to explain procedures, provide reassurance, and gather essential health information. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or wound management; ensure compliance with infection control protocols. Qualifications Valid NC CNA certification is required Prior experience working in Home Care Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology related to geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, and chronic conditions such as dementia or infectious diseases. Demonstrated ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and CPR; experience with manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts is a plus. Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA standards and adhering to safety protocols during patient transfer methods and procedures.
