A Nursing Assistant provides hospital and nursing home patients with basic care and assists them with daily activities. Helps patients with dressing, washing, and feeding. May perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. These roles typically require completion of a regional agency-approved training program in order to obtain a certification before practicing.

Bonnie Cone Classical Academy is currently accepting applications for a Health Aide . Preferably a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA), or Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide basic first aid and care for students with minor injuries or illnesses; assess and respond to health-related emergencies as needed. Assist in monitoring and documenting students' health status, including vital signs and medical histories, and maintain accurate health records in compliance with school policies. Administer medications to students according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate documentation of medication distribution. Work closely with the school nurse to implement health programs, manage health screenings, and address any health concerns affecting students. Promote health education and awareness among students, staff, and parents by providing information on health and wellness topics. Assist with maintaining a clean and organized health office, including restocking supplies and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff regarding health issues, concerns, and resources available for support. Other duties as assigned.
