Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing specialized memory care techniques and ensuring their safety during activities. Help with patient transfers using proper methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to ensure safety for both patient and caregiver. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members. Follow home healthcare regulations and best practices for end-of-life care, hospice support, and geriatric patient needs in a compassionate manner. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current licensure to practice in your state. Prior experience working in home care agencies is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely; familiarity with patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of medical records. Demonstrated understanding of home care assistance.
