Job Description

CNA II School Aide Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and student-focused CNA II School Aide to provide support services in a school setting. This role may include one-on-one student support, classroom assistance, and health clinic support. Responsibilities may involve instructional support, personal care assistance, behavioral support, and basic health services. The CNA II School Aide works under the supervision of the district school nurse or designated clinical supervisor to help ensure students receive the care and support needed to succeed throughout the school day. Essential Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and classroom support to students as assigned. Assist students with personal care needs, including hygiene, feeding, mobility, and activities of daily living. Support students with behavioral and instructional needs in collaboration with teachers and school staff. Provide basic health services and assist with routine care in the school health clinic. Monitor and document student health and behavioral observations as required. Respond appropriately to student illnesses, injuries, and emergencies. Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with applicable laws and policies. Foster a safe, supportive, and positive environment for students. Follow all school, state, and healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures. Minimum Requirements Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA II) certification as required by state regulations. Current CPR certification, if applicable. Current health certificate, as required by contract or state regulations. TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable. Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice. Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working with children in a school, healthcare, or pediatric setting. Experience supporting students with special needs or behavioral challenges. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Work Environment This position may provide support in a variety of school-based settings, including classrooms, health offices, and one-on-one student assignments.
