Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a PCA/CNA and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. This vital role involves providing direct assistance with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for residents across various care settings. Whether working in a group home, assisted living facility, nursing home, or home health environment, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality patient-centered care with enthusiasm and dedication. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, vital signs, and overall health status, documenting findings accurately in care plans Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and facility protocols to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition and hydration Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control standards Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a respectful and caring atmosphere Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities using personal transportation assistance when needed Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is advantageous Demonstrated ability to monitor patients' vital signs and recognize signs of distress or deterioration Familiarity with patient observation techniques and adherence to resident's rights policies Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift operation or medication administration are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities supports success in this role Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations Join us in providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives. Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 40.0 per week
