Support medication administration under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support. Perform catheter care, wound dressing changes, phlebotomy procedures, and assist with medical documentation to ensure comprehensive patient records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers, ICU units, PICUs (Pediatric Intensive Care Units), or hospice environments to deliver seamless patient service. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols, practicing proper hand hygiene, and utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely. Engage with patients across various age groups—from pediatrics to geriatrics—delivering compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs in outpatient clinics or inpatient units. Experience Prior experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals (emergency medicine, medical-surgical units), long-term care facilities (nursing homes, assisted living), or home & community care environments. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and record keeping. Hands-on experience caring for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer's care is highly valued. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy principles relevant to patient assessment and treatment procedures such as vital signs monitoring and catheter care. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like Phlebotomy or DME (Durable Medical Equipment) training are advantageous.
