ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensures constant attendance throughout shift for assigned patient. Ensures patient is visible at all times. Ensures patient is within reaching distance at all times including during bathroom and shower use and during visiting hours. Keeps company with patient and helps with eating and other difficult tasks for the patient. Removes dangerous items from patient as directed by registered nurse. Accompanies patient transport to testing areas. Reports accurately what the patient eats and drinks to nurse and clears areas as needed. Adapts willingly to changing department demands. Remains flexible in staffing patterns and assignments.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalency. One year of previous work experience.
