Join Alara's Care Team Alara Home Care is a new, nurse-owned home health agency serving Southern Nevada, and we're hiring the first group of Home Health Aides who will care for Alara patients. We're building the kind of care culture we'd want for our own families: consistent caregivers, strong nursing support, high standards, and enough time to actually care for the person in front of you. Our patients are often medically complex adults who need ongoing help to remain safely and comfortably at home. Many are former nuclear and atomic workers receiving healthcare benefits through federal programs. The Role As an Alara Home Health Aide, you'll provide one-on-one care in patients' homes throughout Clark and Nye Counties, including Las Vegas and Pahrump . You'll work under the direction and supervision of Alara's nursing team and follow each patient's individualized plan of care. Whenever possible, we prioritize continuity. We want our patients to see familiar faces—and our aides to know the people they're caring for. That relationship matters. When you know someone's normal routine, mobility, appetite, mood, skin, or breathing, you're often the first person to notice when something changes. What You'll Do Depending on the patient's plan of care, responsibilities may include: Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene Assist with toileting and incontinence care Help with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility Assist with ambulation and prescribed exercises as directed Provide assistance with meals and hydration Perform light patient-related housekeeping Change bed linens and maintain a safe, comfortable patient environment Assist with other activities of daily living outlined in the plan of care Observe the patient's condition during care Recognize and promptly report changes or concerns to the supervising nurse Follow infection-control and safety practices Complete accurate, timely visit documentation Provide respectful, dependable, compassionate care A Care Culture Built by a Nurse Alara is nurse-owned and clinically led. Compensation Patient care:

$15-$19/hour Your patient-care rate is based on experience, qualifications, and assignment.

Drive time:

paid hourly Travel between patient visits during the workday is tracked and paid separately at Alara's established drive-time rate.

Mileage:

reimbursed Eligible mileage between patient visits is reimbursed in addition to paid drive time. Flexible per-diem scheduling This is a per-diem / PRN position with scheduling based on patient needs and your availability. We schedule geographically whenever possible to minimize unnecessary driving. What We're Looking ForRequired Meet Nevada requirements to work as a Home Health Aide in a licensed home health setting Current CPR/BLS certification Active Nevada CNA certificate Ability to pass required background screening and pre-employment requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Current automobile insurance Dependable attendance and communication Ability to travel within the assigned service area Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of home-based personal care Ability to follow a written plan of care and nursing direction Ability to complete electronic visit documentation We'd Especially Like to Meet You If You Have Previous home health or hospice experience Experience caring for medically complex adults Experience caring for older adults or people with disabilities Experience with mobility assistance and personal care Experience providing longer-duration or ongoing home-care shifts Experience with EEOICPA, Department of Labor programs, or former nuclear workers is not required . You may spend more time with a patient than anyone else on the care team. That makes what you see—and what you report—important.
