Weekly direct deposit AMX Healthcare is hiring dedicated and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants for full-time contract opportunities at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in Bayside, Queens. We are looking for candidates who take pride in delivering attentive, respectful care. In this role, you will support residents with everyday activities, help maintain their comfort and independence, and work alongside licensed nurses to meet their individual care needs. We are looking for CNAs who communicate effectively, contribute to a collaborative care team, and understand the importance of making each resident feel valued.

Responsibilities:

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, and other activities of daily living. Support morning or evening routines based on the assigned shift and each resident's preferences. Provide safe transfers, repositioning, walking, and mobility assistance according to individual care plans. Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding as assigned. Respond promptly and professionally to call lights and requests for assistance. Obtain and record vital signs, intake and output, and other assigned resident information. Recognize and report changes in condition, behavior, appetite, or comfort to licensed nursing staff. Help residents prepare for activities, therapy sessions, or rest as appropriate. Document care accurately and communicate relevant observations during shift handoff. Maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable resident environment. Follow infection-control, fall-prevention, and safe resident-handling procedures. Encourage independence while protecting residents' dignity, privacy, and personal preferences.

Requirements:

At least 6 months of previous experience in Nursing Homes/LTC/Rehab, as a CNA. These 6 months must have been within the past year. Current New York State CNA certification with active Nurse Aide Registry status. Current CPR or BLS certification meeting assignment requirements. Ability to complete required physical, tuberculosis screening, and other onboarding requirements. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. A compassionate, patient, and professional approach to resident care. Dependable attendance and availability for the selected day or evening shift. Ability to perform assigned resident-care duties using appropriate equipment and safe handling procedures.
