Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Per Diem Aide in our Facility which provides round-the-clock skilled nursing care, medical support, and supervision exclusively for senior friars who are informed or need specialized assistance. This role offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability while providing vital assistance in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals to ensure a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for our diverse patient population, including geriatric and post-acute care residents. Responsibilities Assist nursing staff with patient care activities, including vital signs monitoring, manual handling, and patient transfers using appropriate methods. Support patients with daily living activities such as mobility, hygiene, and feeding, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and uphold patient safety standards across all care procedures. Document patient information accurately including medical documentation and vital signs. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively, ensuring proper functioning during treatments or assessments. Communicate clearly with patients and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans Assist with infection control measures within the care facility to prevent the spread of infections among vulnerable populations. Experience CNA, PCA or HHA required Prior experience working in a long term care, nursing home or long term care facility preferred Familiarity with Geriatrics Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medical terminology knowledge or infection control training are advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work with geriatric patients and manage complex care needs with compassion and professionalism. Strong understanding of medical documentation practices, patient confidentiality standards, and medical equipment operation.
