Summary The New York State Veterans Home at Montrose is a healthcare facility owned and operated by the New York State Department of Health for Veterans and their dependents. Serving the Veterans and their families of the Lower Hudson Valley since 2001. NYSVH Montrose is located on the VA Medical Center Grounds and has 252 beds. Responsibilities The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide skilled care to the veterans and their dependents who reside at our facility, such as but not limited to: bathing, dressing, feeding, general hygiene, transferring residents, care of ostomies, colostomy & ileostomy, maintenance of individual range of motion to prevent contractures, recognizing and reporting abnormal signs and symptoms of common conditions/diseases, measuring and recording fluid intake, and assisting the health care team in treatments and observations, along with all aspects of daily living care. Feeds patients requiring assistance. Qualifications Current New York Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA).
