Job Description

Certified Nursing Assistant - UNION 1199 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including clinics, urgent care facilities, assisted living environments, and long-term care facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care while maintaining their dignity and comfort. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Provide catheter care and assist with other personal hygiene needs. Maintain accurate medical documentation and update patient records as necessary. Support healthcare professionals in administering medications and treatments as directed. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Participate in patient mobility assistance and rehabilitation exercises as required. Skills Proficiency in medical documentation practices to ensure accurate patient records. Experience in clinic or medical office settings is preferred. Familiarity with urgent care procedures and protocols. Knowledge of home community care practices for elderly or disabled individuals. Understanding of catheter care techniques for patient comfort and safety. Experience working with geriatric populations in assisted living or long-term care facilities is advantageous. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing high-quality patient care. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. MUST WORK EVERY OTHER WEEKEND - EVENING/OVERNIGHT SCHEDULES
