Overview Located in Port Jefferson, the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital combines advanced clinical expertise with a longstanding commitment to compassionate care. The campus has earned both a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade "A" and a CMS 5-Star Quality Rating and is known for its excellence in Maternal/Child Services, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Bariatric Surgery, and Emergency Care. St. Charles Campus is a leading New York hospital for acute inpatient rehabilitation, with more than half a century of service to Long Islanders. Nearly 80 hospital beds are dedicated to inpatient acute rehabilitation, more than any other hospital on Long Island. Patients are often admitted for acute inpatient rehabilitation with the following conditions or diagnosis: amputation, brain injury, cardiac or pulmonary conditions, hip fracture, neurological conditions, orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, stroke, spinal cord injury, or traumatic injury/fractures. Job Details Our Assistant Nursing Care Coordinator (ANCC) will: Assist the Director of Nursing Rehab in delegating and coordinating nursing care activities of all patients on the Acute Rehabilitation nursing unit Mentor, supervise, and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire continual professional growth Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education. What you'll bring: Passion for Rehab Nursing and an interest in growing as a leader in Nursing 1+ Years of RN experience working in an acute care hospital based environment Previous leadership experience preferred
Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
Licensure:
New York Registered Nurse (RN)
License & Registration Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required Posted Salary Range USD $54.97 - USD $66.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
