Job Description

Genesis HCC is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care including assistance with daily living activities, vital sign monitoring, and mobility support, while maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and safety. You'll collaborate closely with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans and documentation. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding Measure and record vital signs and promptly report significant changes to nursing staff Assist with safe patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment Support infection control practices, including hand hygiene, PPE use, and environmental cleanliness Observe and report patient condition, behavior, and concerns to nurses and other clinical staff Document care provided and patient observations in electronic health records accurately and promptly Assist in maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant patient care environment Support fall-prevention, skin-integrity, and patient safety initiatives as directed Communicate respectfully and effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members Participate in team meetings, huddles, and in-service training to support continuous improvement Required Skills Patient care assistance Vital signs monitoring Infection control Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Mobility and transfer assistance Basic wound and skin care support Safe patient handling and lifting HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Communication with interdisciplinary care teams Observation and reporting of patient status Basic CPR and first aid Time management Fall risk prevention Use of patient care equipment (lifts, wheelchairs, etc.)
