As a CNA, you will assist the nursing staff in providing quality care to elders, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity.Key responsibilities include:
Assisting elders with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Turning and repositioning elders to prevent pressure areas. Taking and recording vital signs, weights, and other data. Transporting elders using wheelchairs and assisting with transfers using mechanical lifts. Cleaning work areas and ensuring a safe, sanitary environment. Responding promptly to emergencies and maintaining elder safety.Qualifications:
Completion of a state-approved Nurse Assistant training program. Must possess and maintain valid Ohio Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Willingness to work in a long-term care environment and provide compassionate care to older adults. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Frequent walking and standing for up to 75% of the shift. Ability to lift, push, pull, and position elders weighing up to and over 350 pounds using appropriate equipment. Ability to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly. Exposure to bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and potentially hazardous conditions.ADA Compliance:
