Provide support to the School of Nursing faculty and staff in the skills laboratory, simulation center, and administrative offices.

Career & Self-Development Communication Professionalism Performs routine maintenance and troubleshoots skill laboratory equipment. Prepares laboratory space for upcoming student sessions. Maintains and cleans laboratory space. Inventories and stocks lab supplies. Assists with prospective students/families touring BGSU. Works various events such as Homecoming weekend, President's Day, Preview Day, and other events sponsoring the School of Nursing. Assists with cleaning for Presidential events or various touring events. Updates/maintains software of computerized mannequins. Assists advisors and administrative staff as needed. Responsible, dependable, and trustworthy with respect for confidentiality Self-directed and able to work independently with enthusiasm and confidence Competency in computer technology and Windows software Effective communication and organizational skills Flexibility with daily work duties Ability to lift 30 pounds The student assistant will help in a variety of ways to ensure that the faculty can maintain the appropriate learning environment. The duties of this position may fluctuate depending on the needs of the faculty, administrative staff, and time of the academic year.
