The ideal candidate will provide essential support to the nursing department by addressing staffing needs. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff. Provide basic life support when necessary and assist in emergency situations. Support patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or other equipment. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Document patient care accurately in medical records. Engage with patients to provide emotional support and companionship. Participate in training sessions related to caregiving techniques and dementia care. Requirements Must be a certified State Tested Nursing Assistant with valid credentials. Experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with hospital medicine and emergency medicine is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Basic life support certification is required. Previous experience in caregiving or dementia care is advantageous. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Must have experience using onshift scheduling system.
