Job Description

Certified Nursing Assistant Overview:
The Carlyle House is an Assisted Living and Memory Care community. This position helps patients by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs; providing comfort, and transportation. We offer two different shifts, Day shift 7am-7pm and Night shift 7pm-7am.
Physical Requirements:
This position demands good physical and mental health. The CNA will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and work a flexible schedule, must be able to move continuously during working hours and able to lift and/or carry 50 to 75 pounds.
Duties:
Provides patients personal hygiene including assisting with dressing, travel to the bathroom; helping with showers. Provides for activities of daily living by assisting feeding patients as necessary; washing and drying residents' laundry, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor. Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures. Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential. Serves and protects the community by adhering to professional standards, community policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and OHSA standards. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; maintaining licensure. Enhances nursing department and community reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
