In this role, you will provide essential daily care to our residents/patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with our nursing staff to deliver high-quality, person-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities Direct Patient Care:
Assist residents/patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
Mobility & Transfers:
Safe lifting, turning, positioning, and transferring of patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices (e.g., Hoyer lifts).
Clinical Support:
Measure and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and report any abnormal changes to the charge nurse.
Nutrition:
Assist with meal delivery, help feed residents as needed, and monitor/document food and fluid intake.
Communication & Documentation:
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and provide timely, clear updates to the supervising RN or LPN regarding patient conditions.
Environment Maintenance:
Keep resident rooms and common care areas clean, organized, and properly stocked with supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements Certification:
Valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Ohio.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
Certifications:
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred (or willing to obtain upon hire).
Skills:
Excellent communication, active listening, and strong interpersonal skills. Must have a high level of empathy, patience, and emotional resilience.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and comfortably lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Background Check:
Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
