Job Description
Responsibilities & Requirements The Nurse Assistant provides essential support to nursing staff by assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. This role contributes directly to patient comfort, safety, and quality of care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. None required. None required; entry-level position with on-the-job training provided. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as a nurse assistant, nursing aide, or in a healthcare setting required. BLS required. Experience in procedural setting preferred. This position requires weekend/weekday/holiday call. Must live within 30min of Kettering Health Washington Township. Call rotation based on department needs. This position will float between the OR and PACU setting, start/end time will be based on which location you are working in on that day.
