Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Support patient transfer methods using manual handling techniques and gait belts to ensure safety for both patients and staff. Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems or PCC, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Follow infection control protocols rigorously to prevent the spread of care facility infections and safeguard patient health. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address patient needs compassionately. Skills Experience working with geriatric patients or in geriatrics-focused care facilities is preferred. Understanding of infection control practices and patient safety standards ensures a secure environment for all patients and staff. Excellent caregiver communication skills are essential for collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams and providing empathetic patient support.
