No prior experience is required. We welcome caring individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and build a rewarding career in home health care. Primary Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Measure and document vital signs ( STNAs only , as permitted by the client's care plan) Assist with meal preparation and feeding Perform light housekeeping related to client care Observe, document, and report changes in the client's condition to the supervising nurse Follow individualized care plans and agency policies Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients Provide companionship and emotional support QualificationsFor State Tested Nurse Aides (STNAs) Completion of an Ohio Department of Health (ODH)-approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) (minimum of 75 training hours) Current Ohio STNA certification in good standing For Home Health Aides (HHAs) Completion of a state- or federally compliant Home Health Aide training program , including: Minimum of 75 hours of training At least 16 hours of supervised clinical training Additional Requirements (All Applicants) Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to pass an Ohio BCI background check Negative TB test, in accordance with ODH requirements Physically able to perform essential job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Reliable transportation and valid government-issued identification Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Commitment to following HIPAA, infection control, and workplace safety standards Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care Current CPR and First Aid certification Why Join Open Arms Home Health Care?
