Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist therapists with resident treatment sessions as directed. Transport residents to and from therapy appointments safely and efficiently. Prepare, organize, clean, and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas. Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, exercises, and positioning under therapist supervision. Observe and report resident progress, concerns, or changes in condition to therapists and nursing staff. Provide direct patient care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding assistance. Obtain and record resident vital signs as assigned. Ensure resident safety and comfort during therapy sessions and daily activities. Maintain accurate documentation as required by facility policies. Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA confidentiality guidelines. Participate in departmental meetings, in-services, and training programs. Assist with restorative nursing programs as directed. Qualifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of employment. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred. Ability to work effectively with elderly and disabled populations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer and documentation skills. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to push wheelchairs and transport residents safely. Ability to assist with resident transfers and mobility activities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of resident rights and patient confidentiality. Knowledge of safe transfer and mobility techniques. Excellent customer service and teamwork skills. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
