Position Overview:
The Transportation Aide is responsible for the safe transportation of residents to and from the facility during approved activities to pre-determined destinations
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the facility's vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents. Assists the residents when on-boarding and off-boarding the vehicle. Ensures the residents' safe arrival to the pre-determined destination and the facility. Maintains route and mileage logs. Monitors routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluid levels. Reports any vehicle problems, or maintenance needs to the Executive Director immediately. Ensures that all vehicle passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, prior to moving the van. Interacts in a positive manner with the residents and visitors as a representative of the facility.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older. Excellent driving record. Must be CPR Certified, certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing Certified Nursing Assistant certificate current and in good standing
