Job Description

WE ARE HIRING FOR 2-10, 10-6 AND DOUBLE WEEKENDS. WE CAN AND WILL WORK WITH MOST SCHOOL SCHEDULES.
The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing residents with routine daily nursing care and services in line with the resident's assessment and care plan, as directed by supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Functions:
Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts in an informative manner. Report changes in resident's condition promptly. Participate in staff meetings and training programs.
Personal Nursing Care Functions:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs). Measure and document vital signs and other relevant health parameters. Prepare residents for meals and assist with feeding as necessary. Monitor resident's food/fluid intake and report changes. Assist in the preparation for exams, tests, and procedures.
Safety and Sanitation Functions:
Follow infection prevention and control procedures. Ensure proper use and disposal of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of resident care equipment and areas.
Care Plan and Assessment Functions:
Participate in the care planning process based on resident preferences. Review care plans daily for any changes.
Admission, Transfer, and Discharge Functions:
Assist nurses with admission, transfer, and discharge functions. Provide orientation to new residents.
Staff Development Functions:
Attend mandatory in-service training and educational programs.
Working Conditions:
Frequent interaction with residents, personnel, visitors, and government agencies. Subject to call back during emergency conditions. Exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and potential injury risks.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 10th-grade education. Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
Specific Requirements:
Effective communication skills. Ability to provide care appropriate to age-related needs of residents. Teamwork and ability to make independent decisions. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Physical ability to perform job duties, including moving, lifting, and assisting residents.
