Duties Assist healthcare providers by preparing patients for examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs and recording patient histories Support patient intake processes and ensure accurate documentation of medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and assisting with specimen collection Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments, confirming insurance details, and updating medical documentation Maintain cleanliness and sterility of clinical areas while adhering to infection control protocols Collaborate with medical staff to ensure compliance with ICD coding standards, pharmacology guidelines, and medical terminology accuracy Experience Prior experience as a CNA or Medical Assistant preferred, but certification is not required, family practice or Urgent Care Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management Knowledge of medical terminology necessary for accurate patient care and documentation Outpatient or outpatient clinic experience in internal medicine or geriatrics is a plus, but not required.
